Financial Literacy Program

 

Credit Smart

Our Daily Bread is partnering with the Department of Homeownership and Relocation Services Division of the Fairfax County Department of Housing and Community Development to offer comprehensive consumer financial education classes to moderate- and low-income County residents. The six-week course seeks to help participants improve their credit ratings and gain a better understanding of the process of buying a home.

Topics will include:

  • Your Credit and Why It Is Important
  • Managing Your Money and Banking Services
  • Establishing and Maintaining Good Credit
  • Understanding Credit Scoring
  • Avoiding Credit Traps and Restoring Your Credit
  • Becoming a Homeowner and Maintaining Homeownership

Falls Church, September 14 through October 19: Classes will be held each Tuesday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Falls Church SkillSource Center, 6245 Leesburg Pike, Room 305, Falls Church, VA 22044.
